Principal Position at The International School of Penang (Uplands)- January/August 2022 start
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic professional with proven leadership qualities and a clear strategic vision who is keen to commit to the success of the school and its continued development. Start date to be negotiated with the successful applicant, either January or August 2022. The Principal is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the School and is responsible for the day to day operation of the School, including key functions such as the hiring and termination of staff. The Principal is responsible for the management, monitoring and evaluation of all aspects of school life across six key areas; shaping the future, leading learning and teaching, developing self and working with others, managing the organisation, securing accountability and strengthening the community.
Applicants should be equipped with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. They should also have relevant IB curriculum experience or a passion for the IB inquiry based philosophy to teaching and learning.
As the CEO of the school, you will be expected to lead the implementation of the whole-school strategic plan. The International School of Penang (Uplands) is a CIS accredited, not for profit school which has an excellent reputation that has been built up during its 66 year existence and we are excited about appointing a new Principal to lead the school as it embarks upon its next stage of development.
