KC Education - Pupil Wellbeing Course and Masterclasses 


Our Affiliate Member KC Education have created a course for FOBISIA Member schools on pupil wellbeing, as well as some Masterclasses:

Supporting Pupil Wellbeing: A Three-Part Course

Join this dynamic and practical three-month course, designed specifically for educators in both primary and secondary FOBISIA schools, and based on the insights from my acclaimed book, A Practical Approach to Pupil Wellbeing. Each hour-long session is interactive, with additional support materials provided to deepen your understanding and empower you with research-informed strategies. This course will equip you with actionable insights to enhance pupil wellbeing in your setting.

Programmes are 100% digital and run for 3 months.
Cost: £375 per delegate

Course Overview

Session 1: Defining Wellbeing 

Thursday 13th March 2:00 PM ITC

Explore the meaning of wellbeing in schools and its foundational factors such as sleep, nutrition, and routines. Discover practical strategies to support pupil wellbeing both in and outside the classroom.

Session 2: School Systems, Belonging, and Wellbeing

Monday 21st April 2025, 2:00 PM ICT

Examine how school systems like homework, exam pressures, and extracurricular activities impact wellbeing. Learn how to foster a sense of belonging to create an inclusive environment where pupils thrive academically and emotionally.

Session 3: Wider Influences

Monday 5th May 2025, 2:00 PM ICT

Focus on broader factors such as relationships, family, transitions and community. Understand the role of digital wellbeing and how technology affects mental health, with strategies to support pupils in managing these influences.

Masterclass Sessions

The Masterclass Series: Difficult Conversations
Monday 5 May, 4 PM - 5.30 PM ICT 



Thoughtful, effective communication is at the heart of education, yet navigating difficult conversations with parents, pupils, and colleagues requires skill and confidence.  

This session has been designed for FOBISIA schools and explores strategies for managing challenging discussions with a focus on achieving positive outcomes, equipping you with practical approaches to support understanding and resolution.

Mind Your Health/FOBISIA - Senior Mental Health Lead in International Settings Programme 

Do you want to develop a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing in your school?

Join the international cohort of the Senior Mental Health Lead in International Settings Programme, delivered by Mind Your Health, in association with FOBISIA and COBIS.

This programme will be delivered remotely over 8 sessions starting in April 2025 and is open to colleagues from FOBISIA, COBIS, and BSME schools.

 
 

Join a cohort of international school leaders, facilitated by Hayley Wilson, DSL and Deputy Head of Senior School (Pastoral, Community, and Wellbeing) at Kellett School.

The Senior Mental Health Lead in International Settings will equip delegates with the knowledge, awareness and skills necessary to develop a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing.

Delegates will be able to embed positive mental health in their school, which will allow all members of the school to thrive. As an open-course, accessible to professionals from all educational systems around the world, delegates will be able to share best practice with their fellow peers. These diverse experiences will enrichen the learning for each and every delegate.

  • 8 sessions of 2.5 hours
  • Sessions run from 9:30am - 12:00pm GMT / 3.30pm - 6.00pm ICT
  • Delivered via Zoom
  • Each session represents one of the eight principles to promote a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing
  • Each delegate will receive a handbook with resources and applicable information
  • International accreditation
  • One one-to-one consultation with you and your school post-training

Delegate fees are £975 per participant and places are limited; early booking is recommended. Please note, this course will only be confirmed once minimum numbers have been met.
