Chartered College of Teaching
The Chartered College of Teaching is the professional body for teachers and teaching assistants, with a global mission to raise the status of the teaching profession, and bridge the gap between research and practice.
Membership of the Chartered College is offered to teachers and teaching assistants in FOBISIA-affiliated schools fully equivalent to UK-based staff.
Members receive access to termly print copies of the Chartered College’s journal ‘Impact’, access to a extensive research and evidence database, events and webinars, and certified CPD courses.
Through group membership, and/or supporting staff towards Chartered Status, an accredited professional learning pathway, FOBISIA schools have access to a powerful mechanism for teacher development and school improvement, with formal recognition from the body holding the Royal Charter for the teaching profession.
“Chartered College group membership has inspired and motivated teachers to develop their practice and share this with colleagues both inside and outside of their schools.”
Laura Yandell FCCT, Principal Deputy Head (Curricular), Harrow International School Hong Kong, FOBISIA Member School
