The Federation of British International Schools in Asia

OrcaNation

Established in 2014, OrcaNation has emerged as one of the leading outdoor education providers in APAC, working with many of the top international and private schools in the region.

Through our engaging, hands-on experiences, our mission is to reconnect individuals with the planet and the oceans, as we strive to become a central hub for education that sparks action and hope. Our goal is to create an environment filled with passion and purpose, instilling the enthusiasm and hope necessary to build a better future by protecting and restoring our environment. Through our educational programmes, our long-term aim is to reach and impact eight billion lives.

Our international school programmes are targeted at both children and adults, with sustainability and the environment being a core theme throughout. Our programme offerings range from;

Outdoor Education & Experiential Learning
Our experiential learning programmes (on or off-campus) blend the best of outdoor & environmental education, with each activity designed to be fun, challenging and engaging for students. We tailor every programme to match each school’s curriculum, age group and focus, all led in small groups by our experienced team of instructors. Our industry leading safety and safeguarding standards provide the solid foundation for each programme.

CAS & Service-learning
We weave the three elements of ‘Creativity’, ‘Activity’ and ‘Service’ into each of our CAS programmes, keeping the UN Sustainable Development Goals at the forefront. We encourage students to take more responsibility and ownership over their choices, as they enhance their interpersonal development by learning from experience. Our aim is to create life-changing experiences for each and every student.

Science & Field-work
Our field staff have in-depth content knowledge of all major Biology, Geography and ESS curriculums, and we deliver each programme to the highest pedagogic standard. We aim to bridge the gap between the classroom and the outdoors, and ecological fieldwork is an integral part of our programme. We offer introductory courses to fieldwork techniques as well as residential trips specifically designed to facilitate Internal Assessment (IA) and coursework requirements for iGCSE, A-level, AP & IB.

Scuba for Schools
Our dive programmes and courses for schools allow students and teachers to become PADI certified to Open Water diver level and beyond. We can run these programmes in a variety of ways depending upon the student capabilities, school’s requirements and learning objectives. Whether a CCA, ECA or dive trip, we will deliver each course to the highest industry standards.

School Holiday Camps
During the school holiday season, we run a variety of programmes that children aged 6 - 18 yrs can attend. Options can range from day long ‘eco-adventure’ camps, to week-long residential camps overseas! As well as being a great opportunity for children to develop their social skills and make new friends, our engaging activities are carefully designed to curate curiosity, educate and inspire!

Internships
We offer a variety of unique internship programmes to keen applicants who have an interest in topics such as ecology, marine biology, sustainability and conservation. Our internship programmes provide an excellent opportunity for young adults to learn new valuable skills, gain new qualifications, boost their CV’s, unlock a new passion, and perhaps start a new career!
