Founded in 1973 in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Kinabalu International School (KIS) joined FOBISIA in 1988. 

The school follows a British type curriculum, and offers the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and A Levels. 

Kinabalu International School is accredited by an approved inspectorate.
