About CPD
Aim:
To facilitate school improvements through shared programmes of professional development to address members’ needs.
Objective:
Through effective networking and collaboration we aim to share and deliver relevant, high quality CPD, in order to promote best practice across FOBISIA schools.
Structure:
For CPD, FOBISIA member schools are distributed among three regions based on geographical location.
Region A: Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, India
Region B: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore
Region C: P.R. China, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan
Head’s Liaison
This is an appointed position of a Head of School who acts as a conduit between the CPD Executive and the FOBISIA executive, representing the CPD requirements and goals of member schools.
FOBISIA Executive Officer
This is a FOBISIA employed position overseeing all FOBISIA operations and is based in the FOBISIA office with the CPD Coordinator.
CPD Coordinator
The CPD Coordinator will work with the CPD Executive Committee to help achieve the aims and objectives of the organisation. The person in this position is a paid employee of FOBISIA on fixed term contract. The Coordinator reports to the CPD Chairperson and Executive Officer.
CPD Executive
The CPD Executive Committee consists of six CPD Leaders, two from each of the regions, who are supported by the CPD Coordinator. The CPD Executive work with school CPD Leaders and other Executive members to represent regional and individual school needs, agree and formulate the CPD calendar, provide a level of quality assurance and lead innovation and development in CPD practices.
CPD Leader
This is the named representative from a member school who is the key liaison for CPD with FOBISIA voting rights. There will be one vote per school. This person is the link between the CPD Coordinator and school colleagues. A list of the current CPD Leaders by region is found in Appendix 3.1.It is the responsibility of each school to advise changes in CPD leadership to the CPD Coordinator so that member schools receive all CPD communications.
