RECRUITMENT OPPORTUNITIES

FOBISIA is a founding member of the British International Schools Safeguarding Coalition. (BISSC)

FOBISIA prioritises the safety and well-being of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers in Member schools to actively support this priority. FOBISIA Member Schools are required to comply with FOBISIA's Code of Conduct and uphold the highest standards of safer recruitment, safeguarding, and child protection. Adherence to these standards is a prerequisite for the continuation of membership. 

As part of a safer recruitment process, we expect schools to conduct extensive checks and request references. We expect the recruiting Head to call the Head of the applicant's school for a personal reference, even more so should the applicant come from a FOBISIA Member school.
