British International School Phuket's Online Maths Code Breaking Challenge was back by popular demand and once again kicked off the year of FOBISIA student events.
The competition featured 5 different code rounds, with rounds suitable for students from year 4 to year 13... as well as an extreme challenge round that teachers were able to join too!
The event statistics were incredible with 125 schools and 22,500 students participating. Overall there were 42,000 leaderboard entries. The top ten schools positions and entries are shown below - well done to all and special congratulations to those who took Gold, Silver and Bronze positions:
- 1st Place - GOLD: Dulwich College (Singapore)
- 2nd Place - SILVER: North London Collegiate School Jeju
- 3rd Place - BRONZE: Bangkok Patana School

This year's Secondary Maths Competition took place at Garden International School Kuala Lumpur. 176 students from 26 schools across 16 Asian cities took part in the 2.5 day event. There were individual and team rounds ranging from codebreaking and logic problems to mathematical history, a crossnumber, independent research and the ever-popular maths relay.
