FOBISIA STEM - KIDWIND CHALLENGE 2026  

Date 13 - 15 March 2026 
Host Taipei European School


Open to students in Key Stage 3 (Years 7–9) and Key Stage 4 & 5 (Years 10–13), the challenge invites teams of four to design, build, and test their own wind energy solutions - combining creativity, innovation, and engineering skills.

This event also serves as the Asia qualification round for the U.S. KidWind Global Challenge, giving winning teams the chance to compete on the world stage! 🌎

In collaboration with University of Leeds and the University of Malaysia, this event saw 600+ female students from 30 schools from over 10 different countries participating. 

 FOBISIA INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021 
WAS HOSTED ON 16 - 18 November 2021

2,958 Year 7 - 9 students from 28 Schools engaged in a range of future-focused science topics and answered a total of  846,056 questions!

 INAUGURAL ONLINE SCIENCE COMPETITION 2020 
WAS HOSTED ON  22 - 29 September 2020

31 Schools and 2,665 students participated in this event and answered a total of 1,968,789 questions!
First Place: Kinabalu International School, Malaysia
Second Place: Dover Court International School, Singapore

Third Place: Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar, Malaysia
